Greenfields Sugar Factory and Distillery

Client: Kibos Sugar and Allied Industries Ltd

Location: Kenya

Following the successful completion of a Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS) for Kibos Sugar and Allied Industries Ltd., our team of professionals managed the construction of the first greenfields mini sugar factory and distillery in the Kenyan sugar industry in over 25 years.  The successful completion of the project was influential in fulfilling the country’s import substitution, job creation and rural infrastructure development objectives.

Xinavane Factory Expansion

Client: Tongaat Hulett Sugar

Location: Mozambique

Our team of professionals managed Tongaat Hulett Sugar’s Xinavane Sugar Mill expansion project in Mozambique, increasing mill capacity from 150tcph to 380tcph of a period of 30 months on an EPCM basis.

Hippo Valley Estates

Client: Tongaat Hulett Sugar

Location: Zimbabwe

In December 1999 we successfully managed the upgrade of the Hippo Valley Estates sugar mill in south eastern Zimbabwe. Our professionals were requested to design and construct a new bagasse handling system which included the installation of a bank of 23 hydraulic ploughs on an 80m conveyor belt feeding 6 boilers. Our project team managed the installation of the process plant, refurbishment of existing boilers, juice heaters, and upgrade and automation of the evaporator station.
