Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director
Andrew Naude is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, based in Perth, Australia. Andrew joined DRA Global in 2013, bringing more than 20 years of strategic leadership, financial and commercial expertise and executive management experience to his role within the organisation.
From April 2016 to July 2019, Andrew served as DRA Global’s Chief Financial Officer and Strategy Director responsible for Group-wide financial and commercial activities, including mergers and acquisitions and strategic investments, as well as leading the group corporate services functions. During this time Andrew oversaw six business acquisitions including Montreal based Met-Chem, in 2016, and in early 2019, SENET in Africa. Andrew has an affinity for strategic business development and has extensive expertise in securing and negotiating international contracts. In his role as CEO and MD, Andrew is accountable for the operational management of the Group’s business activities. Andrew has an in-depth understanding of all facets of operational management which drives operational excellence throughout the organisation and enhances in-house capabilities to increase value to clients.
Andrew is a Chartered Accountant who holds a B.Comm. Honors degree and is also an alumnus of the Harvard Business School, and a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Adam joined DRA in 2020 as Chief Financial Officer of DRA Global. Adam is a highly regarded Finance executive with extensive mining services, petroleum and engineering (EPCM) industry experience in multinational companies. Adam has successfully managed regional finance teams across multiple jurisdictions including Australia, New Zealand, PNG, Asia/China, and India. Adam is responsible for all finance, treasury, IT, risk and compliance functions at a group level.
Pierre Julien has over three decades of global mining industry experience where he has held a number of technical and executive roles. Pierre is a graduate of Haileybury School of Mines and holds an MBA from Queen’s University. Pierre also represents DRA Global, and the industry, at executive and board level within the Canadian Mineral Processors Society and the Canadian Institute of Mines, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIMM).
Greg McRostie has accumulated over twenty-five years’ experience in the design and construction of mineral processing facilities and associated infrastructure across a broad range of commodities. Greg holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) Hons from Curtin University. Greg is also an executive director and a member of the DRA Global Board of Directors.
Alistair Hodgkinson has been involved in large scale mining and minerals processing projects across EMEA, implementing various greenfields and brownfields resources projects for more than two decades. Alistair holds a B.Sc. Eng. (Mechanical) at the University of the Witwatersrand, holds an MBA from the University of Cape Town and is a registered professional engineer.
Rick W. Thomas is the Executive Vice President of Energy Operations. Rick has over 35 years of experience in engineering, operations management and business development. Rick holds an MBA from Duke University, an M.Sc. (Mining Engineering) from the University of Kentucky and is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers.
Darren Naylor has over 20 years’ experience across varying industrial sectors, more than 10 of which specialised in the engineering, mining and metals industry within Africa. Darren holds a B-Tech Marketing Degree from the University of Johannesburg as well as an MBA from Henley Business School.
James Smith is responsible for DRA Global’s Minopex business unit. James has over twenty years’ experience in the mining, industrial and financial sectors where he has held various consulting, investment advisory and operational leadership positions. James holds a B.Sc. Engineering (Chemical Engineering) from the University of Witwatersrand.
