The Bootu Creek Dense Media Separation (DMS) Plant, located 780 km south-east of Darwin, Northern Territory, was a DRA and Promet EPCM project and involved the engineering design, equipment procurement, SMPP fabrication, logistical delivery to site, SMPP and E&I construction, as well as commissioning of the 1.5 Mtpa manganese processing plant and ancillary infrastructure.

DRA was responsible for the DMS portion of the plant and provided relevant engineering designs, equipment procurement and commissioning. Site clearing started in late 2004, with first tonne of product stockpiled late 2005, approximately 11 months from 0% on site to 100% construction with commissioning complete.
